How does it work?
Send us your original photograph or copy, 35 mm
slide, or negative. Good quality reproductions or scans
are also acceptable. Your original will not be altered.
All restoration and retouching is done on a digital
image of your original photograph. View the final image
on your computer before payment is requested. The completed
image is printed with archival quality ink on photographic
paper, and sent via courier along with your original
photograph. You will also receive your digital image
on CD.
How much does it cost?
You preview and approve your image before you pay!
Prices generally range from $40 for minor corrections
to $120 for complex restorations. For a FREE estimate,
email an image of your photo to me. Once I see your
photo I'll be able to give you an accurate quote for
photograph restoration or retouching.
Q. Do you make any adjustments to the original photograph?
A. No. Your original photograph will be scanned
so only the digital image will be altered.
Q. How long does it take?
A. Please allow at least 1 week from the time
your original is received.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. The cost ranges between $40 to $120 depending
on the complexity of the project. I'll give you an estimate
before any work is started.
Q. What will be included in your estimated price?
A. You will receive: a digital image of your
altered original, printed on photographic paper with
archival quality ink. Depending on the size of your
original, your quote will include one 8"x10",
5"x7", or 4"x5" print. one digital
copy on CD.
Q. What if I don't want to send my priceless original?
A. You have a few options: If you have a good
scanner (at least 42 bit colour), you can scan your
image at 300 dpi, save it as a JPEG (no compression),
and email it to me. Most Internet Service Providers
will allow you to email an attachment up to 5 megs,
so be sure to check the finished size before you hit
the 'send' button.
Have a photographic duplicate made of your photograph
or slide. Take it to a Service Provider like Kinko's
and have them scan it for you, then send me the disk,
or email the scanned image to me. Many photo processing
centres also offer a scanning service.
Q. What size negative or slide can you scan?
A. I'm able to scan 35mm slides and negatives.
Q. What size photo can you scan?
A. The maximum size is 8" x 10"
Q. What shipping method do you use to send my order
to me?
A. All completed orders will be sent via XpressPost.
Q. My images are too big to send by email. How do
I get them to you?
A. Use the FREE WinZip (PC) or Stuffit (Mac)
to contain your files. These programs will compress
the file size. Once I 'unzip' the file, your images
will uncompress.
